Founded in 1984, Ryder/Walker Alpine Adventures specializes in inn-to-inn trips throughout the Alps of western Europe. Our groups are small, and our attention to your experience has gained us a loyal following. Newer tours reflect our quest to provide remote, unusual and challenging mountain experiences in addition to tours to more classic destinations. Many trips are designed to meet the wishes of our increasingly experienced and savvy travelers and of our repeat travelers, who make up half of our guest lists. In addition to our scheduled trips, we organize independent travel and private guided hiking adventures by arrangement. We transport your luggage on our guided trips so that you hike with only a backpack and enjoy the pleasures of going light, while your guide takes care of the details of travel, luggage handling and other logistics.
