TELLURIDE GUIDED ADVENTURES

R
ound out your exploration of the wonderful winter world of Telluride, Colorado with a day of ice climbing.
Ice Climbing Telluride

W
hether you are a long time local or a first time visitor, Ryder/Walker Alpine Adventures welcomes you to the fascinating adventure of ice climbing.

First time climbers will be introduced to basic techniques and safety practices, including rope management and the use of crampons and axes. You'll then begin climbing on a pleasantly snug rope on moderate angle slabs.

As the day proceeds, your guide will help you develop skills with confidence-building practice on increasingly varied terrain. Many first day climbers are able to complete the ascent of a vertical frozen waterfall!

More experienced climbers will welcome the experience of weathered guides to explore some of North America's most classic ice climbs, including the dramatic and notorious Ames Ice Hose. The Telluride region offers a spectacular array of climbs, and our guides will help you to achieve your ice climbing dreams.
